It starts deep in the Australian outback
Our oil traces back to Blue Mallee, a rare eucalyptus with blue leaves that Aboriginal communities have used for centuries. An Aboriginal healer named Bardo shared it with David Ireland, the Australian wildlife presenter whose face is on our bottle today.
It sold in pharmacies across Australia for more than a decade before we brought it to the US in 2013. Since then, more than 1.6 million bottles have sold.
What happened when people used our formula every day
Both trials were run with adults living with osteoarthritis. In a 60-patient, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial at the Veterans Memorial Medical Centre, people applied our formula daily for four weeks. A second double-blind pilot at La Trobe University in Australia found statistically significant improvements in discomfort and stiffness compared to placebo.
Both trials tested the same formula sold today as Outback Original Oil, originally sold in Australia as Elmore Oil. The wooden massager was not part of either study. Individual results vary.
