Icy Hot. Biofreeze. Bengay. They all work about the same. So why do so many people quietly stop using them once the sun goes down?

This is the part nobody puts on the label. The same concentrated menthol that makes these products work is what makes them impossible to ignore, for you and for whoever's in the room. It's a big part of why so many people quietly downgrade to "only using it during the day" or "only when nobody's around."
Ours uses the same amount of active ingredient (16% menthol, same as Icy Hot), but it's built into a base of vanilla and eucalyptus instead of left to smell like straight menthol. You get the same relief without needing the house to yourself first.
You shouldn't have to choose between getting relief and getting into bed without apologizing for how you smell.
Here's the second thing nobody mentions. A lot of counter-irritant formulas are built on an alcohol base, which is part of what makes that hot or cold sensation hit so fast. The tradeoff is what happens after. Once the sensation wears off, your skin is often left feeling dry, or tight, in a way that has nothing to do with your joint and everything to do with the formula.

Ours sits on an olive oil base instead, the same carrier oil from our original Outback Oil. So once the menthol tingle fades, what's left behind isn't nothing, it's an oil that's actually conditioning the skin it just worked on. Real relief shouldn't cost you dry skin on the way out.
We're not going to tell you our cream works harder or faster than what's already on your shelf. The menthol does the same job either way, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something other than the truth.
What we will say is this: if you've caught yourself skipping it at night, or noticed your skin feels a little stripped an hour after using it, that's not you being fussy. Those are real formula tradeoffs, and they're ones we didn't think you should have to make.
