What's Actually In It

Four ingredients. That's it.

Most pain creams hide behind a fragrance and a 30-ingredient label. Outback doesn't need to. Ralph Linford spent five years and tested 32 olive oils to land on this combination, and it hasn't changed since.

1

Blue Mallee Eucalyptus

Sourced from remote pockets of inland Australia. The Aboriginal community has used it for centuries. Over 90% cineole content, far higher than common eucalyptus.

2

Australian Tea Tree Oil

Native to a small region of New South Wales. Helps the formula penetrate the upper layers of skin in minutes rather than evaporating off the surface.

3

Spanish Olive Oil

Ralph tested 32 different olive oils before finding the one strain that would carry the eucalyptus and tea tree without separating. It's the carrier, and the binder.

4

Pure Vanilla

A natural vasodilator. Opens the small surface vessels so the other three ingredients can move where they're needed. Also why the oil smells warm, not medicinal.

Why It's Different

Heat doesn't fix anything. Cold doesn't either.

Most pain creams just trick your nerve endings. The moment the burning or freezing stops, the discomfort returns, often worse. Outback was built to do something different.

Counter-Irritants (Icy Hot, Bengay, Biofreeze, Tiger Balm…)

  • Burn the skin with menthol or capsaicin to distract you from the discomfort underneath
  • Freeze the surface, which numbs sensation but doesn't reach the source
  • Wears off in 20 to 40 minutes, then the original feeling returns
  • Strong medicinal smell that lingers on clothes and bedding
  • Typically synthetic actives, harsh on sensitive skin over time

Outback Original Oil

  • Penetrates through the skin to where the discomfort actually originates
  • No burning. No freezing. No "trick" that wears off in 30 minutes
  • Soft vanilla-eucalyptus scent. Not pharmaceutical. Doesn't linger on clothes
  • Just 4 plant-based ingredients matured together for 8 weeks in Australia
  • Designed for daily, long-term use as part of a routine, not a desperate fix
Who Outback Was Built For

If you've tried everything else, this is probably what you've been missing.

Outback was originally formulated for an 80-year-old man with rheumatoid arthritis. Today its biggest customer base is people who have already cycled through the obvious options.

Neuropathy in feet & legs

The tingling, the burning, the pins-and-needles sensation that won't quit, especially at night. The most common reason new customers find Outback.

Sciatica that won't quit

The shooting line down the back of the leg. The lower-back ache that flares getting in and out of the car. The reason a daily roll-on routine helps.

Knees on the stairs

The morning stiffness. The "I have to think before I stand" feeling. Outback's most-cited use case for people 55+.

Arthritis in hands

The same use case Ralph built it for. Knuckles, wrists, the way they lock up first thing in the morning. Roll on, rub in, wipe the excess.

Plantar fasciitis

That first painful step out of bed. The arch and heel sensation that worsens after sitting. A nightly application before bed is the most-reported routine.

Sleep disrupted by discomfort

Many customers tell us the same thing: "I keep a bottle on the bedside table." When discomfort wakes you up, it's there.

How to use it

There's no learning curve. The bottle is a roll-on, designed for fast application without getting on your hands. Most customers build it into their morning and bedtime routine.

1

Roll On

Apply directly to the area. The roll-on tip lets you target specific spots without touching the oil with your hands.

2

Rub In

A few seconds with your palm. The oil absorbs quickly. No waiting around, no greasy residue.

3

Wipe Excess

Wipe any surface excess with a tissue. The active ingredients have already begun penetrating.

4

Repeat Daily

Once or twice a day. Many customers apply before bed. Keep a bottle in the bedside table or your handbag.

Common Questions

FAQ

Is this actually Australian, or just Australian-themed?
It's actually Australian. The oil is blended in Australia using Ralph Linford's original 8-week triple maturation process, then shipped in tanks to the U.S. and bottled stateside for easier distribution. (Some other brands using "Australian" branding are formulated and made in the U.S. with no Australian connection. Outback isn't one of those.)
How is this different from Voltaren, Icy Hot, Tiger Balm, or hemp creams?
Most of those work by tricking your nerves with heat, cold, or numbing agents. The relief lasts 20 to 40 minutes, then the discomfort returns. Outback's 4-ingredient formula was designed to penetrate to the actual source rather than mask it on the surface, so most customers report a different kind of result the longer they use it consistently.
What does it smell like? Will it smell medicinal?
Soft vanilla and eucalyptus. Most customers describe it as warm and pleasant, not pharmaceutical. The vanilla in the formula is partly why. It doesn't linger on your clothes or bedding the way menthol-based creams do.
How long until I notice something?
Some customers report a difference within minutes of the first application. Others find it builds with consistent use over a week or two. Outback was designed for daily use as part of a routine, not as a one-time fix. We recommend giving it at least 14 days of consistent application.
Tell me again about the 365-day Returnless Refund?
If at any point in the next 365 days you decide Outback didn't help you find relief, just email our support team, and we refund every cent. You don't ship anything back. You don't need a receipt. You don't need to mail us an empty bottle. Worst case, you keep a bottle to give to a friend.
Is this safe to use with prescription medications?
Outback is a topical, applied to the skin only. The 4 ingredients are food-grade and natural. We always recommend running any new product past your doctor or pharmacist if you have specific health concerns or sensitive skin, but the oil itself is non-pharmaceutical and contains no active drug.
How much should I order?
A 50mL roll-on lasts most people about a month with daily use on a single area. If you're treating multiple areas (knees, feet, hands) you'll go through it faster. Most repeat customers go with the 3-pack so they always have a bottle on hand. The 6-pack is for households where two people use it.
Where do you ship?
We ship to all 50 U.S. states. Free shipping on orders over $40. Most orders arrive within 3 to 7 business days.
