If you suffer from Neuropathy, you’ve probably experienced painful sensations, weakness, tingling, or numbness in your feet or hands.
The pain and discomfort can affect your quality of life by making it difficult for you to sleep, walk, or take part in the activities you love.
We’re sharing some of our top tips for all-natural pain relief of neuropathy to do at home.
1. Soak in a warm bath
When you are experiencing pain from neuropathy, soaking in a warm bath can offer some much needed relief. Not only is the warm water relaxing for your entire body, but it can also boost your circulation—helping to relieve the pain and release the tension.
For extra relaxation and relief, add Epsom salt to your bath!
2. Practice relaxation techniques and exercise
It’s important for everyone to partake in regular exercise in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but it can be extra beneficial for people who suffer from neuropathy.
Not only will it help to stabilize your blood sugar, but exercise will also increase the blood flow to your feet and hands. Plus, the release of endorphins in your body will provide you with some much needed stress relief and will help to boost your mood.
Give yoga and meditation a try to work on reducing your stress, and improving your strength and flexibility. Getting regular massages will also help to release tension, increase blood flow, and reduce stress.
3. Add more Omega-3 fatty acids to your diet
Consider a diet rich in Omega-3 fatty acids as an extra preventative measure rather than a treatment solution. Add foods such as salmon, walnuts, and leafy greens to your diet to increase your daily intake.
4. Apply essential oils to help soothe pain
Certain essential oils, such as Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus Oil, are known to have powerful inflammation and pain reducing properties for all-natural pain relief.*
However, you must have the right formula and carrier for the oils to work to the best of their abilities.
